Description

As an Operational Development & Digital Platform Intern at INNIO, you will support our Services – Parts Order Management organization in Budapest across both operational development and digital platform activities. In this role, you will contribute to project management, data analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, process documentation, workshops, audits, testing, internal user support, and cross-functional collaboration. You will also assist in the maintenance and development of our digital e-commerce platform, while gaining hands-on experience with ERP systems, including SAP, and digital tools in a global industrial environment.

Your responsibilities:

A)  Digital Platform & E-Commerce Support 

  • Support the management and maintenance of the e-commerce platform, including customer database updates, site registrations, item and catalogue maintenance, and contract management activities.
  • Assist with customer and partner enrollments onto the digital platform, following established processes and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Handle and follow up on platform-related backlogs, tickets, and user queries in a timely and structured manner.
  • Contribute to the testing of new platform features, updates, and configurations; document test results and escalate issues to the responsible team.
  • Support the preparation of platform-related reports, dashboards, and data analyses using Excel and other available tools.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, Sales, Customer Service) to resolve platform issues and improve user experience. 

B)  Operational Development Support 

  • Support the Operational Development team in ongoing improvement projects and initiatives – assist with project coordination, status tracking, and preparation of project-related materials.
  • Contribute to data collection, analysis, and reporting tasks; prepare structured summaries and visualisations to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of process documentation, work instructions, SLAs, and training materials; ensure documentation is up to date and aligned with current workflows.
  • Support workshop preparation and follow-up activities: coordinate logistics, prepare agendas and presentation materials, take minutes, and track action items.
  • Assist in internal audit preparations and follow-ups: collect evidence, maintain audit trackers, and document findings and corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) activities by identifying inefficiencies, documenting pain points, and supporting the implementation of process changes.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and collaborate with teams across the organisation (e.g., IT, Finance, Sales, Customer Service) to align on shared objectives. 

C)  General Operational Support

  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Operational Development Team Leader and team members.
  • Support ad hoc projects, data collection tasks, and internal communication activities as assigned.
  • Contribute to the team's continuous improvement culture by proactively identifying opportunities and proposing practical solutions.
  • Follow EHS rules and warn others to follow the rules, execute mandatory EHS trainings and immediately report the incidents and near misses as required. 

Your profile:

  • Ongoing Bachelor or Master studies Bachelor's degree in any stream, or related discipline for at least one more year in Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work at least 30 hours / week
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must; knowledge of German or Hungarian is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis); broader MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) are expected.
  • Knowledge or interest in ERP systems (preferably SAP or Oracle) and e-commerce / digital platforms is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of data management, reporting, and process documentation practices.
  • Interest in or exposure to project management methods, CI frameworks (e.g. Lean, Kaizen), or audit/compliance processes is a plus.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted tools, automation, or digital process improvement is an advantage.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to tasks.
  • Strong team-player attitude with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a dynamic, international work environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and supporting multiple workstreams in parallel.
